Here's a little more about me...
I went to my first yoga class 24 years ago and instantly fell in love with the way it made me feel. I had never listened to my own breathing or paid that much attention to my body and how it felt. The sense of calmness and the feeling of being completely present in the moment was a revelation.
I returned to yoga again in my thirties when my children were still young and I needed the peace and time to myself. I instantly remembered how it made me feel and decided that I would become a yoga teacher to I stay on my spiritual journey to inner peace and self discovery and to help others find theirs.
In my classes you will learn to become both physically stronger and more flexible and a calmer, more focused version of yourself.
My style of yoga is a mindful, slow paced version of Vinyasa Flow yoga. My classes are suitable for all levels and abilities. Especially complete beginners and people with back pain, stress and physical injuries.
Every class ends with a long guided meditation which allows you to enter a deeper state of relaxation called ‘somnambulism’. Meditation helps regrow the grey matter in the brain which is responsible for cognitive function and memory. It also slows our brainwaves, decreases blood pressure, stress levels and balances blood sugar levels. I believe meditation makes a huge difference to my class members’ mental health, sleep patterns and general energy levels.
I teach yoga classes in the Harrogate, North Leeds and Ripon area.
Alongside my general yoga classes I teach Yoga for Men and private 1-1 yoga.
